JENNIFER HU” was founded in 2022 as a research project seeking to create designs inspired by artisanal and natural textile techniques, keeping them alive, thus honoring the people who work with us, appreciating their work, valuing their origins, and creating unique accessories that celebrate Peruvian culture.
Our production team is composed of highly trained professionals with vast experience in traditional textile techniques. We work hand-in-hand with workshops located in Lurín, Ayacucho, and Puno, collaborating directly with artisans who bring their ancestral knowledge to each creation.
The head designer, Ángela Huamán, with an Ayacucho heritage and founder of Jennifer Hu, combines her experience in textile design with her love for artisanal tradition. Her career includes work at CITES (a Peruvian textile research and innovation center), where she acquired in-depth knowledge of the techniques of various Peruvian artisans, leading her to found the brand and prioritize sustainability and authenticity in each piece.
